Welcome to my Photo Blog. I'll try to mix it up, there are lots of different types of photography. Much of what I photograph is in the landscape category. My passion regarding nature started as a boy. The Cascade mountains of Washington were where my father introduced me to hiking and fishing. Watching a bald eagle use its strong talons to pluck a large trout out of the water was the kind of experience that had to be part of my future. I hope you enjoy my photo-journey.

Thunderbolt Hydroplane U-18
Seattle has an annual celebration,Seafair, focused on water activities. When I was a kid Seafair meant boat racing, Lake Washington hosted the Gold Cup Hydroplane races. This isn't a photo from those races but rather an image captured of a remote control boat race held last weekend on Lake Wilderness. Looks like the real thing, doesn't it?

I knew one of the drivers of this boat, Bud Saile. Some of the best memories of my childhood were associated with him. RIP my friend...
