Welcome to my Photo Blog. I'll try to mix it up, there are lots of different types of photography. Much of what I photograph is in the landscape category. My passion regarding nature started as a boy. The Cascade mountains of Washington were where my father introduced me to hiking and fishing. Watching a bald eagle use its strong talons to pluck a large trout out of the water was the kind of experience that had to be part of my future. I hope you enjoy my photo-journey.

The Story Behind The Story
I had a plan, I got into position and waited for my image to develop. I wanted to capture a group of Canadian Geese taking off from this pond and flying straight for me. The geese did take off but in the opposite direction. After several take offs I decided to review what I had gotten. While reviewing the digital images . . . you guessed it. The remaining geese flew in my direction and I couldn't do a thing about it. No useable camera = no image.

Take Off, Dive, Catch. Over and Over Again
A group of these Terns were quite amusing. They were diving for crabs and other unidentified swimming objects. The Terns almost never missed their prey. One Tern in particular was a little greedy. It captured a fish too large for it to swallow. Over and over the Tern would try, meanwhile other Terns were chasing it around the bay.

Smile, It's A Take
It was the end of a long day's photo shoot and as usual it wasn't how many images I captured but how many images captured me. This grasshopper was willing to stay still until I got it's image. Thanks.

From Yellow To Yellow . . . The Seasons Change
I was looking back to the first flower of 2012, it was a yellow flower. Just by coincidence the last flower image I took of 2012 summer bloom was also a yellow flower. This coincidence, in and of itself means nothing. I just was amused by it. Oh, and get ready for the Autumn changes.

Sometimes Trying Is The Funnest Part
I'm getting back in the photo game and anything is fair game. Bee's in flight are not usually a subject for landscape photographers but I said to myself, "why not try".

The Gap In Time Is Past
Let this 'Full Moon Past' image mark the return of my daily Photo Blog postings. Our recent move ended up to be more involved than we originally expected. Life as we knew it has begun to return.
Thanks to all of my viewers who continued to check on my blog. I've got to go. Photos to take. Later
